Through this course, you will enhance your understanding and application of best practice management and business knowledge, from a strategic and cross-cultural perspective, to improve organisational effectiveness.

This dual degree offering, will see you complete the first four units within the Master of Management with Universitas Bakrie in Jakarta. These four units are then credited towards Central Queensland University’s Master of Business Administration MBA (International). Following their completion, you can then study the remaining eight units of the MBA with Central Queensland University at the CQUniversity Australia – Jakarta Centre.

To study this dual degree offering you will need to apply for admission to and complete your first four units with Universitas Bakrie. You will then progress to complete the Master of Business Administration (International) with Central Queensland University at the CQUniversity Australia – Jakarta Centre.

Once you have completed the first four units with Universitas Bakrie, you will study five core units plus an additional three units from your chosen specialisation with Central Queensland University.

Full-Time and Part-Time Study Options

The Central Queensland University MBA (International) offers you the flexibility to study full or part time, with units taught via evening classes, scheduled after work. Evening classes are approximately three to four hours in duration and the number of evening classes you attend each week will depend on whether you are studying full or part time.

Full-Time Schedule

If you study full time, you will enrol in four units per term, and attend evening classes four evenings each week. Studying full time means that you will complete your studies for this course over a duration of 1.5 years (3 terms).

Part-Time Schedule

If you study part time, you will enrol in two units per term, and attend evening classes two evenings each week. Studying part time means that you will complete your studies for this course over a duration of 3 years (6 terms).

Applications are open to start studying in Term 2 2020. Term 2 starts in August 2020. Expressions of interest are also being accepted for Term 1 2021.

Pre-Requisite Qualifications, Knowledge or Experience

  • An undergraduate degree (S-1) in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent.
  • All students must meet English language requirements (IELTS 6.0) completion of Indonesian bachelor degree (S-1) or approved equivalent and IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

If you do not satisfy the English requirement with IELTS 5.5 you may be admitted into the program but will be required to fulfil the IELTS 6.0 requirement prior to commencing Semester 2. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses will be available (additional fees apply) in Semester 1 if you do not satisfy the English requirement.

Once you have successfully completed all required units you will be eligible to graduate with an Australian Master of Business Administration from Central Queensland University along with a Master of Management from Universitas Bakrie.

Successful completion of this course will equip you with knowledge and skills that provide opportunities for advancement within organisations and/or the development and successful implementation of strategies designed to advance business and organisational opportunities within a global context.

Fee schedule

Your tuition fees can be paid in 18 equal payments of 10 000 000 IDR, paid monthly, over the 18 month duration of your studies, totalling 180 000 000 IDR. You will also be required to pay an administration fee of 20 000 000 IDR.

Your first payment will be 30 000 000 IDR (includes your first monthly tuition fee and the administration fee) and is payable in advance of your studies, after this initial payment you will be required to pay 10 000 000 IDR monthly.

If you have previously studied in the same subject area at another institution, you may be eligible for credit, also known as recognition of prior learning (RPL), credit exemption and advanced standing.

In order for us to assess your application for credit, you must submit the following additional documents through iStart, our easy to use application system for international students:

  • Certified copy of your official transcript in Bahasa Indonesian or English
  • Unit outline for every unit you wish to be assessed for credit
  • Course Information that includes course duration and number of units required
  • Institution details that include name and location.

If you do not meet the English requirement, you can study a CQUEnglish course to help you gain the English proficiency required to study an academic course at CQUniversity.

To do this, you can apply for both courses at the same time through iStart. You will be eligible to sit for a placement test (no costs involved) if you do not have an English test result from IELTS, Pearson or Cambridge within the last two years. The results from this test will determine the CQUEnglish course you need to do before your academic course.

Please note, at this stage the only course offered in Jakarta is the MM/MBA, all other offerings require you to relocate to Australia.
