With Australia’s Central Queensland University (CQU) opening its Jakarta campus on the 17 March 2020, Academic Director, James Bartle, has been on the airwaves promoting CQU and Bakrie University’s one of a kind dual degree.

“It’s a unique program in Indonesia that allows students to do two degrees at one time. So, they start at Bakrie University do their core subjects, so the first four subjects. When they complete that successfully they do the next eight subjects at Central Queensland University right here in Jakarta,” said Mr Bartle.

With over 25 years’ academic experience working for universities in Australia and Indonesia, Mr Bartle said students seeking management qualifications that stand out from traditional business and executive qualifications in Indonesia should consider the MM-MBA dual degree.

“The quota is limited, because we want to give quality education. So, we have 40 places available. Ten have already been taken and we haven’t even advertised.”

Ranked amongst some of the world’s best universities, according to Times Higher Education and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings, CQU regularly receives outstanding results for teaching, research, graduate outcomes, inclusiveness and social innovation.

“We are a young university, but we’re one of the best young universities in the world,” said Mr Bartle.

“We have one of the best employability awards. That means when you graduate you have more opportunity to get a job almost straightaway, with a good salary.”
